Project Description: The scope of work includes turn lane extensions to provide additional storage and capacity. Jefferson Highway is a five-lane highway intersecting Corporate Boulevard (a four-lane) and Old Hammond Highway (five-lane). Sidewalk connections will be made to transit stops and crossings provided for safe access.

Date Status
03/2024 The design consultant is developing construction plans for the project. The plans should be completed by the summer of 2024. Construction can begin after final right-of-way acquisition and any utility relocations are complete.
12/2023 The design consultant is developing construction plans for the project. The plans should be completed by the beginning of 2024. Construction can begin after final right-of-way acquisition and any utility relocations are complete.
09/2023 The design consultant is developing construction plans for the project. The plans should be completed by the end of 2023. Construction can begin after final right-of-way acquisition and any utility relocations are complete.
08/2023 The Design consultant is developing final plans and ROW maps for the improvements to the intersection. The plans should be complete in late 2023.
01/2023 The Design consultant has begun the development of the final plans for the improvements to the intersection. The plans should be complete in late 2023.
02/2022 The design consultant is preparing the Traffic Study which will be utilized to determine the future improvements.
11/2021 The design consultant is collecting the necessary traffic data to prepare the Traffic Study which will be utilized to determine the future improvements.
10/2021 The design consultant is working to complete the corridor survey and the subsurface utility engineering for the future intersection improvements. The design consultant is scheduled to collect traffic data in November.
08/2021 The design consultant is working to complete the corridor survey and the subsurface utility engineering for the future intersection improvements. The design consultant is scheduled to collect traffic data in September.
06/2021 The design consultant is beginning the corridor survey for the future intersection improvements.
05/2021 The design consultant has begun the traffic study to determine intersection improvements.
02/2021 Notice to proceed for the Design Consultant is anticipated in late February/early March 2021. 
10/2020 Contracting is underway with the Engineering Design Consultant to begin development of final plans.
